Blanks use premium Toray carbon fiber, balancing robust strength and ultra-fine bite sensitivity. Selected blank sections feature a deep dark red finish to create a signature visual style. Available lengths: 5’10” and 6’0″ Both models adopt Toray 40Ton carbon fiber blanks accented with deep dark paint on selected sections. Weights sit between 50g and 60g, so you can fish all day without arm strain.
5’10”: Fuji SIC top guide + Fuji A-ring guides with titanium alloy frames + solid tip, maximising bite detection for subtle nibbles.

Three years ago I broke this rod by the water ¡ª through my own fault. I searched for something similar for a long time, then gave up and ordered this Teton once again… and I don’t regret it. The guides on my copy are set flawlessly, evenly, with no excess lacquer. The blank itself is rough and unlacquered, which I actually really like. The rod arrived in a protective tube of thick cardboard, additionally secured inside with bubble wrap, so I rate the shipping packaging a plus. In the photos, a 210-gram reel balances this stick perfectly at the point where I hold it while fishing. I’ll add, after a few years of using the previous Teton 622L, that it handles a very wide range of baits ¡ª from small soft plastics (3¨C4 cm) on 1¨C2 g jig heads, through small spinners (0¨C2), 4 cm wobblers, up to small twitch baits (5¨C6 cm). My biggest bycatches on the previous rod were carp ¡ª one about 10 kg, the other about 5 kg hooked in the back; the rod held up, though the lacquer near the butt cracked from the strain of the hard fight ?? Recommended.

A very elegant and well-built little rod! Packaged very well. It comes in a tube, wrapped in bubble wrap and tied with rope at both ends ¡ª probably so that even if the tube gets crushed, the rod won’t fall out.

Although shipping took a bit longer than expected, the seller was very responsive and provided excellent support. I¡¯ve spent the last two days testing the rod, and I¡¯m impressed. Despite the 0.3g¨C3g rating, it handles 0.1g and 0.2g weights with ease. The rod is incredibly sensitive, making it easy to detect even the slightest bites. It is lightweight, well-balanced, and comes in a high-quality protective pouch. Definitely worth every penny!

Super sensitive and really lightweight. It does need very thin line though ¡ª even PE0.6 felt like it was dragging through the guides a bit, so I¡¯ve dropped down to PE0.4 (haven¡¯t tested it yet). Other than that, no complaints, and it looks great too.

Took it out yesterday for the first time. 6¡¯6¡± model and caught a nice brown with it. I got this for 8g+ jdm trout minnows that were too heavy for my UL rod and it did exactly what I wanted. It¡¯s a 2-10g rated rod but like most rods, that low number is doable but not ideal. I went down to some 1/8 or 3g-ish lures and it didn¡¯t exactly struggle but I had to work harder to load the rod tip.

This pole ended up being better quality than I expected. It¡¯s lightweight but feels very durable. It¡¯s nice that it comes with a carrying bag too. All you need is a good reel for it and you¡¯d have a really nice pole. Casting with it has been good because it¡¯s lightweight I find it much easier to use.

The rod feels great in the hands and really deserves a premium reel in order to get the most out of it. I am surprised by the strength of this rod even though it is carbon fiber. The 40-ton carbon blank is incredibly lightweight while still feeling strong and responsive, making it comfortable to fish with for hours.
The sensitivity is outstanding. I can easily detect subtle bites and feel the action of smaller lures, which has made targeting trout and other freshwater species much more enjoyable. The fast action provides accurate casts and enough backbone to confidently fight fish without sacrificing the finesse that BFS fishing is all about.
The Fuji guides and reel seat are excellent quality and give the rod a premium feel. Everything is well-aligned, the handle is comfortable, and the overall fit and finish exceeded my expectations. Paired with a quality BFS reel, the rod casts lightweight lures smoothly and accurately.
